The new 2022–23 Board held a retreat on August 13 to discuss strategies to transform our League into a more responsive and inclusive organization. All Board members present shared their ideas. Consensus was reached about taking action in several general areas of concern:

• Making our programs and events more accessible to our members and the general public
• Providing more opportunities for our members to contribute their time and energy and rewarding participation
• Ensuring that voting rights activities are integrated into all League events and actions
• Enhancing our use of social media to reach a wider demographic
• Building strong coalitions with other organizations and deepening our relations with existing partners

Over the course of the next few months, concrete plans will be made and shared.
