NewsMembers of LWV-PA Board met on January 13. Here are some highlights:
- The League has received an additional $700 from the Anne Patterson trust.
- Members were strongly encouraged to attend the Annual Planning Meeting on January 20.
- The Board discussed the gear-up for its event on January 31, “Racially Charged,” which focused on AB 256, “Criminal Procedure: Discrimination.” Members were strongly encouraged to attend.
- The League decided not to pursue further actions with the Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP) because it focuses mainly on Monrovia residents.
- Marilynne Wilander and Dorothy Keane are the Board representatives on the Nominating Committee.
- A New Members Orientation will be held on February 27 at 3:00 p.m.
- The League will be conducting legislative interviews with state representatives.
