The Board met again via Zoom. Quite a few important issues were discussed. Because of the virus concerns, the office is closed. President Pat Coulter is working remotely and Jody Kenney is checking on things at the office occasionally.

• Martha Zavala announced that we have been awarded $500 for DEI activity. It has been suggested that we use these funds to grant stipends to two students who will engage in outreach to the community.
• The Women’s City Club will be officially passed to the Pasadena Heritage Foundation and operations will be changing.
• Delegates to the LWVUS convention in June were chosen: Pat Coulter, Dorothy Keane, Anita Mackey, Gayle Oswald, Martha Zavala. Three more will be added.
• The Board voted to change our Annual Meeting to be held remotely, via Zoom Webinar, per the California Code for Nonprofits, and moved that this change be added to our bylaws for approval by the members.
• The Board moved the Overall Priorities for Education and Advocacy for 2020–2021, the Slate of Nominees for Board for 2020–2021, the Nominating Committee for 2021–2022, and the Budget for the 2020–2021 League Year. (Please see this issue of the Voter and your Annual Meeting Kit for the specifics.)
• Some energy was spent discussing the agenda and presentation of information to the members at the Annual Meeting, a reminder that this is a new process for all, and we are dealing with the details of remote virtual meetings.
• At the request of the Membership Committee, our president will send a letter to LWVUS requesting that Leagues not be charged a full PMP for those who pay flex dues as we strive for equity in our membership base.
• Marilynne Wilander is still planning the Ice Cream Social, but it will be a virtual one! She is working on the details to mount this much-needed fundraiser, so watch for more information.
• The Board was looking forward to LWV-PA’s first [May] League Day via Zoom.
