The Board of Directors met on November 11 via Zoom. Here is a summary:

  • Members are being asked to participate in an online survey concerning League activities.
  • Michelle White has resigned from the Board. She will continue to chair the Social Justice Committee. The Board will appoint a new Director to represent the Committee.
  • A committee is being formed to consolidate information about using Zoom and to help members who are having trouble using it. The committee will address our League policies, procedures, and techniques of using the Zoom platform for our meetings.
  • What we have called the Yearbook in the past will now be called the Handbook.  It is being updated to be distributed to members online.
  • Our “Winter Wonderland” holiday party is being planned for the evening of December 12 via Zoom. There will be chat rooms and holiday music. Attendees will have an opportunity to contribute to Friends in Deed. Board members will kick off the contributions and then everyone can add to the cause.
  • The Advocacy Committee reminded the Board that the legislative interview materials are on the way. Volunteers will be needed to conduct those interviews in January.
  • Program planning will be happening via Zoom this year. The Events Committee is working on ways to organize that.
  • Anita Mackey and the Social Justice Housing Subcommittee were congratulated on a well-organized, well-presented, and quite interesting Thursday with the League in November!
