The League of Women Voters acknowledges that the suffrage movement did not include all women, excluding women—and men--of color. Today the League fights for the opportunity of everyone to make their voices heard and their votes count. The League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the national League by looking back—and ahead. See the event flyer here.
All five candidates who are running for Randy Rowse's seat (he is term-limited) will be there: Tavis Boise, Brian Campbell, Mike Jordan, Teri Jory, and Luis Esparza and will be asked their views on a number of issues of concern to voters.
Discussion groups meet regularly every month. This month's Discussion Groups will follow up on our Creative Housing Solutions Forum and will be led by our expert on Housing and Homelessness, Emily Allen.
