You are invited to attend an exclusive pre-screening of the award-wining documentary, A Binding Truth. Soon to be shown on PBS, this powerful film tells the story of Jimmy and De, two high school classmates in 1965, with the same last name, but one was black, one white. Jimmy was the first black football player in the affluent high school. A volatile Civil Rights case followed, of which Jimmy was the center. De would write about that case for his Harvard entrance essay. Decades later, a shocking discovery in church records would change both their lives forever. Their story is America’s story—one of slavery’s legacy and our current racial divide. Click the registartion button for tickets.
