Join us for “Celebrate Nature: InHabit” as writers and visual artists from Highland Park’s journal of literature and art, East on Central, present examples of their work related to The Art Center Highland Park’s “Nature VS Nurture” installation in the Gallery.
Co-hosted by Habitat Highland Park (a joint project of our League with Go Green HP), providing tips on creating pollinator-friendly yards and balconies, this in-person event is free and open to the public. Members of HabitatHP and East On Central will be providing information on their activities. The Art Center invites you to explore their galleries.
Visit Stupey Cabin grounds near Highland Park City Hall (1731 St. John’s Ave) to see demonstration gardens for ideas on promoting healthy wildlife environments, featuring native plants that thrive in sunny or shady spaces. HabitatHP encourages all residents to seek National Wildlife Federation/NWF Wildlife Habitat Certification for their yards and balconies. Give Nature a boost: Nurture your own wildlife-friendly space. Visit the HabitatHP site for more information on gardens.
