Who We Are. What We Do.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government. League influences public policy through education and advocacy. The Highland Park League was founded in 1928. The league was expanded to include Highwood in 2011.

The bylaws of the League of Women Voters of the United States stipulate that the League of Women Voters “shall not support or oppose any political party or candidate.†This policy of nonpartisanship has always been a source of strength to the LWV and must be zealously guarded. It is the cornerstone of our voter service efforts. Here is our local League's Nonpartisan Policy

The Highwood Library and Community Center is a wonderful place to visit. The renovation is wonderful and the services offered to the community are awesome. If you aren't familiar with the Library check them out!
