LWVHP-HWD Members will Participate in October 18 "No Kings" Protest
OUR LEAGUE WAS PRESENT AT A COUPLE OF NO KINGS RALLIES
The League of Women Voters was a sponsor of the NO KINGS 2 protests on October 18. We rallied to support the Bill of Rights, oppose federal overreach, and reject cuts to essential services.
We joined friends, neighbors and the community at large to unite at nearby protests to rise up for our democracy.
We were present, working together as a concerned community to speak out for our neighbors and the Constitution.
Here is a photo in Evanston's Fountain Square, where several of our HP-HWD League members attended.

Our Annual League Meeting and Luncheon Was a Great Success!
Held on June 28th, the event brought together a wonderful turnout, with thoughtful and engaging discussion from both new and longtime members, as well as our guests.
Our luncheon speaker, Dr. Michael Lubelfeld, Superintendent of Schools for District 112, delivered a compelling and timely presentation titled "Navigating the AI Frontier in K-12: Trends, Practices, and Leadership." His insights sparked meaningful reflection on the evolving role of technology in education.
The luncheon, held in the beautiful Highland Park Trinity Church, featured delicious food from Curt’s Café, complemented by homemade treats from our members. Beautiful floral arrangements, generously provided by member Ginny Schulte, added a special touch to the setting—making it a truly memorable occasion for all who attended.
