At the LWVUS 2024 Convention, delegates voted to move forward with a study on the federal judiciary. The Federal Judiciary Study Committee has prepared a series of briefs on specific topics to help develop through consensus a long-lasting position based on the principles of judicial independence, transparency, accountability, and ethics (and possibly others). The LWVUS goal is a position that outlines the values – the standards, norms – the League of Women Voters should use in evaluating proposed changes to policies, laws, and regulations about the federal judiciary.
On Monday, April 7th at 5 pm on Zoom, all members are invited to attend the Consensus Meeting. Click on this link to register and you will receive a confirmation email from Zoom with all of the consensus questions reproduced at the bottom of the email along with the link to join the meeting.
