Illinois ratified June 10th, 1919, claiming to be the first state to do so, though Wisconsin disputes that they were first.
June 10, 2019 on the 100th anniversary of Illinois ratifying the 19th Amendment, the City of Highland Park presented a beautiful Proclamation commemorating the date. Our League, now in its 91st year, thanked the City and spoke about its mission to register and educate voters and advocate for issues.
