On January 16 league member Jamie Benvenutti attended the Effective Youth Voter Registration webinar presented by LWV US Programs and Outreach Director Maggie Bush.

Some tips included:

1. Reach out to as many students in the high schools as possible, not just those in government classes. 
2. Tell your story of how you registered to vote, why voting is important to you. 
3. Partner with other community organizations who share visions of increasing youth civic engagement. Examples included: NAACP, Retired Teachers Association, “Families in Schools,” and junior leagues.
