Renee Morgan, representing the Willow Domestic Violence Center in Lawrence, will be the featured speaker at the September 20 Hot Topic. League members and guests will gather at 11:30 at the Watkins Museum meeting room with the program beginning at 12 noon. Morgan will help us understand that domestic violence is a problem that affects primarily women and children, including women of color, immigrant women and both female and male LBGTQ. Questions from the audience will follow Morgan’s presentation. This is an excellent time to learn more about this critical issue in our community.
