It's that time of year - our Annual Meeting is coming up in two weeks (Monday, June 10, at 6:30 pm at the Wenham Senior Center, 10 School St, Wenham). As a reminder, Annual Meeting serves multiple purposes: an opportunity to socialize, eat, get to know our new members and reconnect with long-time members, and it is a business meeting as well.
We must have a quorum of 10 members to conduct business!
Attached is a PDF of the meeting booklet for you to review beforehand. You can also access the booklet online here: Annual Meeting Booklet. The booklet contains information, approved by the Steering Committee, that the membership will consider and vote on at the meeting. Please pay particular attention to the following items:
- Proposed Budget (p. 20)
- Local Program Plan (p. 25)
- Steering Committee Slate of Candidates (p. 27)
- Bylaws (p. 28)
To make the Bylaw review easier to digest, we offer two documents alongside the meeting booklet:
- Bylaw Update Summary - a concise summary of the material changes to the Bylaws is attached (PDF) or may be viewed online
- Bylaws Redline to February 2021 - a redlined version of all the changes from our current (February 2021) Bylaws, to the current version for adoption at this meeting may be viewed online
We undertook a review of our bylaws alongside other local League examples and updated ours to reflect best practices. We welcome you in the weeds with us, though the summary should give you enough information to vote. Either way, we can't WAIT to see you!
So please make a plan and join us for pizza and salad. We will also be hosting a FUN FREE RAFFLE! Any member who pays their dues at or before the meeting will be automatically entered. It's critical that we have a quorum and we aren't above enticing you with food and prizes! In addition to hearing highlights of the past year's activities, we will:
- Approve a budget for League 2024-25 activities
- Adopt a local program plan for the coming year
- Elect the Steering Committee/Board for the 2024-25 year
- Adopt revised Bylaws
- Take direction from Membership
- Enjoy being TOGETHER as a group with our dynamic and thoughtful members!

Also, please note, 2024-25 dues of $80 for the year are payable now - renew online via PayPal. Alternatively, you can bring a check on the 10th or send it to the address below. If we have it in hand by the 10th, you are entered into the raffle!
