"Rain, rain go away, come again some other day." We can tell you from experience, that singing that ditty does not work. But despite the weather, we always seem to get at least 10 peaceful protesters. Our June 28th Stand Out (# 12) was no different with a count of 11. So dressed in our raincoats and wellies we made a splash! A couple of young ones attended, and it is always good to hear their laughter, running around with such energy even in the rain.

We know that many members want to exercise their First Amendment rights and participate in rallies or in other demonstrations. We want all League members to stay safe while doing so. Accordingly, LWV staff have updated our latest protest guidelines here.
