In an effort to foster a better understanding and appreciation of the role of local government in our lives as residents of Wellesley, MA, we’re excited to bring a new series of short videos about Town Government to the our community .

The League of Women Voters is dedicated to empowering voters and fostering civic engagement at the national, state, and local levels.  Through this video series, we hope to encourage more active participation in Wellesley’s town government and engagement on issues we face as a community.

This first video in the series provides a great introduction for our League's effots: "Town Government: Why We Care."

With this second video in the series, we focus on the Town's Fullerbrook Park restoration project as an example of the collaborative work and results achieved by so many Town entities and residents.

We’re enormously grateful to Wellesley Public Media for partnering with us on this project, and especially to Rama K. Ramaswamy and Paul Falcone, for their work on producing and filming this TV series.

In the coming months, the project group expects to identify the topic of the third video, and complete production by year’s end. Planning is also underway for the promotion and distribution of the series.
