Joining the League of Women Voters is a great way to play an active role in your community and in our democracy! Everyone is welcome - membership in the League of Women Voters is open to anyone 16 years or older. When you join the League of Women Voters of Wellesley, you are also joining the national and state Leagues. Thirty-three percent of your dues payment will go to LWV of the United States, forty-seven percent will go to the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, and twenty percent will go to LWV of Wellesley.
To complete the process of joining or renewing, click on the option in LWV Member Portal or email LWVWellesley2 [at] gmail.com for a link to our Interest Form. You can tell us what is important to you and let us know if you would like to get involved. Too busy now to get involved? That is totally okay. You are doing your part to defend democracy in our country when you support the League of Women Voters by renewing your membership.
Membership Dues:
● Individual members: $75 per year is the recommended amount, or pay what you can ($20 minimum).
● You can add a second member ($150 total for both recommended, $40 for both minimum), but they each will need to provide a unique email address.
● Life members (those with a membership of 50 years or more): Please visit the LWV Member Portal to activate your account and update your profile. In appreciation of your dedication to democracy, you are exempt from membership dues. THANK YOU!
Making Payments
● The preferred payment option is a direct bank transfer (ACH transfer), which minimizes fees for us. You will be asked to type in the numbers at the bottom of one of your checks, which is your financial institution's routing number and your account number.
● You will also be given the option to pay by credit or debit card.
● If you prefer to not to pay online, you may still do so by check. ○ Please make your dues check payable to: LWVUS. ○ Print and complete the membership form at the link below and include the name and email address of any additional household member included in the dues amount. ○ Mail your check and membership form to: Deb Codispoti, Treasurer LWV of Wellesley 130 Oakland Street Wellesley Hills 02481.
● You will receive an online confirmation and an email receipt for your payment. Note: For tax purposes, please note that LWV of Wellesley is not a 501(c)(3).
● Your membership dues payment will show up as three transactions on your account — one each to [local and state Leagues] and LWVUS. You’ll be a member of all three!
● To keep things simple, renew automatically each year by selecting the autorenewal option when paying your dues.

● You will have the option to make a direct donation to LWV of Wellesley when paying your dues on the LWV Member Portal, or you can donate directly to us by sending a check marked DONATION to Deb Codispoti, Treasurer 130 Oakland St. Wellesley, MA 02481.

When it is Time to Renew Your Membership next year.....
You will receive an email reminder to renew one year after your last renewal, with a link to renew on the LWV Member Portal. If you have signed up for auto-renew, you will get a reminder that your membership is automatically renewing and will be given the option to adjust your auto-renew setting.
Accessing the LWV Member Portal
To update your contact information or view your past payments, go to the LWV Member Portal. To log in to the portal:
● Enter the email address associated with your membership.
● You will be sent an email with a verification code to enter the code into the form. (You do not need a password.)
