The LWVMA has announced the winners of its student video contest. Jacob Applebaum from Wellesley High School was awarded an Honorable Mention for his video "Boston Stands for Democracy" and Natalie Marder and Emily Bell from Newton South High School won Second Place for their video "L'Taken: Learning How to Make Democracy Work in Our Community" which featured Ann-Mara Lanza's son Nate. The contest was sponsored by the LWV of MA Citizen Education Fund which supports programs designed to encourage the active and informed participation of citizens in democracy and in crease understanding of public policy issues. Congratulations to the students for putting together these inspiring videos!
