This forum discusses a resolution by Citizens' Petition to explore the question of the U.S. Constitution and President Trump. which will appear at a Special Town Meeting in November in Weston. The sponsors will explain the roots of their petition, which proposes that Trump has not abided by the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. The Weston League is not taking a position on this petition but has agreed to facilitate the discussion, which they hope will be well-attended and spirited. The League initially tried to find a speaker to sit at the table and take the other side of the issue, but, having failed in that, will settle for members of the audience to speak up.
