Wellesley needs YOU to keep our town running smoothly!

Did you know that Wellesley has ten elected Boards, who oversee everything in our town from our Schools, to our Library, to our public health?  Wellesley also has 240 elected Town Meeting Members, who approve the Town’s budget and bylaws.  There are no special qualifications for serving in office!  (Some boards require members to be a registered voter, but any resident can run for Town Meeting.)

Do you care about our community?

Are you curious about how our government works?

Have you ever thought about getting more involved?

Find out how Wellesley Town Government is structured.  Learn from Wellesley residents who have served our community about what it is like to be on Town Meeting or an Elected Board. We will also discuss how to run a campaign and the timing for March 2025 election. (Nomination papers can be obtained in person from the Town Clerk December 4 to January 9.) This event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome!

This event will be taped by Wellesley Media and available shortly after 12/4/23.
