WHY REGISTER TO VOTE NOW?

All US congressional seats will be decided on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. MA voters will also elect state senators and representatives, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of the Commonwealth, other state and county officials, and will vote on ballot initiatives.   

The last day to register to vote in the MA General (midterm) Election is Saturday, October 29, 2022

To be eligible to register or preregister to vote, you must:

  • Be a US Citizen
  • Be 18 years old to register, 16 and 17 years old to preregister*
  • Provide a valid driver's license number or the last four digits of SSN.If you have neither, you may still register to vote and will be asked to provide a photo ID at the polls

WHERE CAN I REGISTER?

 

VOTE BY MAIL BALLOTS

Vote by Mail applications will be mailed in September to every voter who hasn’t already requested a mail-in ballot for the November election. These applications will be pre-addressed to your local election office and postage pre-paid. Vote by Mail applications can also be downloaded from the Secretary of State website.  Completed ballots must be received at Town Hall by 8 PM on election day.
