July 27 - Roosevelt Park
Sunday, July 27, 2-5 pm, Roosevelt Park, 2231 Michigan Avenue

The Money Out of Politics Movement is organizing a peaceful, non-partisan mass mobilization in Washington, D.C., and at all 50 state capitals, where we expect to mobilize at least two million Americans to demand:

  1. A Ban on Lobbyist Gifts: Prohibiting all direct or indirect financial incentives from lobbyists to members of Congress.
  2. The End of Congressional Stock Trading: Preventing elected officials from using privileged information to personally benefit.
  3. The Overturning of Citizens United: Eliminating unlimited corporate campaign contributions and restoring limits on political spending.
  4. A Constitutional Amendment to Keep Money Out of Politics: Ensuring that future generations do not face the same corruption and undue influence in government.

These reforms are not partisan; they are essential to ensuring a government that serves the people rather than powerful special interests.

August 2 - Dearborn

Come join 5051 Hands Off Dearborn on Saturday August 2nd, 10 am - Noon, as we take to the streets to fight back against the growing fascist regime threatening our democracy, due process, our bodies, and our communities as part of the 50501 movement’s “Rage Against the Regime” National Day of Action.

We will hold the rally at Peace Park West. Our backup location is the park directly across from Peace Park West. The rally will be followed by a march down Michigan Avenue.

We will not comply, we will not be silent, and we will not stand down.

From every street and screen, let resistance rise. Take your stand. Turn frustration into fuel. Let outrage become action.

We are peaceful. We are angry. We are organized. And we are just getting started! It's shaping up to be quite the summer!

Bring signs, friends, drums, other instruments, noisemakers and be ready to RAGE AGAINST THE REGIME.

August 16 - Hart Plaza Day of International Friendship.

If you can make it to the rally at Hart Plaza at 5 pm, where we will honor our friendship with our neighbors from Windsor, great! You can sign up for the rally hereOtherwise, please consider hosting a gathering of friends in your backyard and registering it on the Friends Across Borders website. We would love to have this demonstration of love flood the map, and our hearts! And if you feel so inclined, join us in signing the friendship pledge! We, citizens of North America, love each other and reject the violence committed against groups and individualsYou can read and sign the full pledge here
