Michigan has no voter registration deadline. Any Michigander who is eligible to vote may register - and then cast a ballot - up until the polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
The League of Women Voters of Michigan has released the following statements in response to the initiative petition by Secure MI Vote that would require voters to present identification when they cast a ballot in an election.
The MICRC will be holding a second round of public hearings. There will be five hearings around the state. The hearing for the Detroit area will be on Wednesday, October 20 at the TCF (Cobo Hall).
