Five things we’re thankful for as 2025 comes to an end: 

 Our city and township clerks, who administer all things elections in their communities–from making sure voter registration applications are processed to ensuring that Election Days run smoothly. 

1. Election workers, often community members, who step up to work at early voting sites, absentee counting boards, and polling places. 
2. Pro-voter advocates (all of you!) who make sure eligible voters in your community are registered, ready and voting in Michigan’s elections. 
3. The voters of Michigan, who exercise their right to vote and make their voices heard in elections big and small. 
4. More elections next year! There are several elections in 2026, including two statewide and federal elections–the August 4 Primary Election and November 3 General Election. Mark your calendars and get ready for more This Week in Voting.
