 Mail your ballot

For most voters, Tuesday, October 22 is the last day we recommend dropping your ballot in the mail. Starting Wednesday, October 23, we recommend returning your ballot in person to your city or township clerk’s office or satellite office, or to a secure drop box in your city or township to ensure your clerk receives your ballot by 8 p.m. on Election Day (November 5). You can find the drop box(es) in your city or township by going to mi.gov/vote and clicking on “Your voter information.”

Remember: the absentee ballot deadlines are different for voters who are serving in the military or living overseas - their ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (November 5) and received by November 11 in order to count.
