SEMCOG and its partner organization, the Metropolitan Affairs Coalition (MAC), are conducting an online Pulse of the Region survey to gather residents’ perceptions on Southeast Michigan’s economy. Responses will help guide planning efforts for Southeast Michigan’s next Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). SEMCOG’s economic development work is driven by the CEDS, which is updated every five years in concert with MAC.

The survey is will close on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at midnight. Survey results will help shape Southeast Michigan’s next five-year economic development strategy. The draft CEDS document is expected to be shared for public review in January 2026, with final adoption expected in March 2026.
