The Wayne State University Alumni Association and the Irvin D. Reid Honors College, in collaboration with the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts invite you to join us for the Arthur L. Johnson Urban Perspectives Lecture Series featuring Dr. Kathleen Hall Jamieson.

 This year's lecture explores the intersection of health, science and politics and how people consume information in an increasingly divided media landscape. Drawing on decades of research in political communication, misinformation and democracy, Dr. Jamieson will provide valuable insight into how today's information environment influences civic engagement and public understanding. Dr. Jamieson will be joined by former WDET News Director Jerome Vaughn for a conversation and Q&A.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Kathleen Hall Jamieson is the Elizabeth Ware Packard Professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication and director emerita of the Annenberg Public Policy Center. An internationally recognized scholar of political communication, misinformation, and democracy, she is the author or co-author of 18 books, and is the co-founder of FactCheck.org.
