Virtual input session
Many aspects of the way we travel have changed in the past year, so we will discuss these topics to assess what we knew prior to the pandemic, how our understandings have changed because of the pandemic, and develop strategies and policies to prepare and respond to anticipated ongoing impacts in the near and loner-term future:
Highlighting transit response to keep users safe
Understanding changes to travel behaviors and modal share
Ensuring equity, safety, and security for all users of the transportation system
Sustaining investments and securing funding opportunities
Aligning local initiatives with state and federal priorities
The expertise and input of SEMCOG and MAC's membership as well as other regional stakeholdrs will be essential to this process, as there can be no substitute for the real-life, real-time experiences of facing and addressing challenges brougnt on by the pandemic.
