In conjunction with the Center for Arab American Studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, the library welcomes local author Ghassan Zeineddine for a talk about his new book "Dearborn".  Also joining the conversation is Diana Abouali, Director of the Arab American National Museum (AANM).

"Dearborn" is a sharp, tender, and uproariously funny portrait of the lives of Arab American community members in Dearborn, Michigan.  Spanning several decades, Ghassan Zeineddine's debut collection examines the diverse range and complexities of the Arab American community in Dearborn.  In ten tragicomic stories, Zeineddine explores themes of identity, generational conflicts, war trauma, migration, sexuality, queerness, home and belonging, and more.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase before, during and after the event.
