Political cartoons can make us laugh, cry, and groan all at once.  Learn how two award-winning professional cartoonists create their work.

Mike Thompson is Editorial Cartoonist for the Detroit Free Press and Henry Payne creates syndicated cartoons that appear in the Detroit News.  They discuss their proces and approach to developing political cartoons and expressing complex political ideas through their work while maintaining accessibilty and clarity of perspective.

The LWV of Detroit and Detroit Public Library invite you to paeticipate in this talk promoting voter education and tools for action.  There will be time for questions following the artists' presentations.
