As part of the People Powered Fair Maps Program of the League of Women Votes, local Leagues across Michigan are holding virtual town hall events to educate Michigan voters on the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission (MICRC) process in drawing new legislative and congressional maps.  In addition to learning about the MICRC, participants will learn about Communities of Interest (COI) which will be an important criteria when district lines are drawn.  A member of the Commisson Anthony Eid will join the Town Hall to provide a 5-10 minute presentation of the MICRC Strategic Plan.  Attendees will learn about the mutltiple ways that a COI (or an individual) can submit testimony to the Commission.

Partnering with the League on this event are AAUW-Dearborn Branch, ACCESS, and Western Wayne Co. NAACP.
