Michigan Association of Railroad Passengers
General Membership Meeting
Saturday, 22 March 2025, 2:00 pm ET
John D. Dingell Transit Center
(a.k.a. Dearborn Amtrak Station)
21201 Michigan Ave., Dearborn MI 48124
Our Guest Speaker will be Alexzandria Elsea, recently hired MDOT Rail Analyst. She will introduce herself to the MARP membership and discuss her role within MDOT.
Michigan was accepted into Step 1 of the Corridor Identification and Development program established by the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Along with that designation, substantial funding was awarded to begin planning for expanded service on each of Michigan’s three passenger routes. Michigan is proposing to extend Wolverine service to Windsor, Ontario, and to add frequencies to both the Blue Water and the Pere Marquette. We expect Ms. Elsea to give a status report on this early work and how it will move Michigan forward toward Step 2 of the Corridor ID process where a service development plan would be created.
If you are coming from the Detroit area, the Dearborn station is served hourly on Saturdays by the 261 FAST Michigan Bus. You can view schedules and plan your trip HERE .
