AAUW of Michigan has invited our LWV members and supporters to attend what should be a very informative webinar on Monday, December 13 at 7 p.m. The webinar will be presented by Mary Pollack, AAUW of Michigan Government Relations Coordinator.

The Michigan Independent Citizen's Redistricting Commission has issued 15 final proposed maps for 45-day public review before its meeting on December 28 to adopt the final maps for the U.S. Congress, State Senate and State House. These district lines will be used for the next ten years until the next Census and redistricting process.

It is urgent for the public to give the MICRC some feedback on whether you like the proposed map for your area or not, and comment if you would like. Mary Pollock will give a little background on the Commission mapping process and then use the proposed resources and maps on the MICRC website to demonstrate how to access the maps and give the map a YES or NO with an optional comment.

Mary Pollock has virtually attended almost all of the Michigan Independent Commission's meetings since their inception in September 2020. She has followed major news sources and attended numerous Webinars to track the Commission and those trying to influence it.
