LWVMO supports the lawsuit filed by the Americans United for Separation of Church and State and members of the Missouri Faith Voices organization against Missouri's abortion law, Right to Life of the Unborn Child Act, which was triggered by the overturning of Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022.

The basis of the lawsuit is that the abortion law violates religious freedom provisions in Section 5 of the Missouri Constitution.
