On Dec. 1, members discussed Percival Everett’s best-selling novel James. It reimagines Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of Jim. Amazon calls James "both harrowing and darkly humorous." The novel just won the National Book Award and is in development as a feature film to be produced by Steven Spielberg.
