Run for Office panel discussion to encourage people to run for office. The League has invited community members who have served or are currently serving on one of the various boards.
Impact on Issues is designed to help League members use LWVUS and public policy positions effectively at the national, state, local, and regional levels. The intention is to inspire Leagues to use national positions to act in their own communities.
LWVH studied what makes an effective Executive branch of Massachusetts (MA) local government including the Select Board (SB) and Chief Municipal Officer (e.g., Town Administrator, Town Manager).
The League advocates for issues but does not support or oppose any candidates for office. Every League Board of Directors at each level is required to have a non-partisan policy.
