It's time to take action against election bills currently moving through the Idaho Legislature. These bills make voting more difficult. There is no evidence of voter fraud in Idaho and these are unnecessary.

Sign up by Thursday March 3 at 3PM to testify for the virtual public hearing to discuss two bills, one allowing COVID to be a valid reason to use absentee ballots for the November 2022 election, and the other allowing for the amendment of the current statute which defines the criteria for obtaining an absentee ballot to include the fear of illness, such as during a public health emergency like a pandemic.

Black History Month takes on a special significance this year as we are monitoring and opposing many bills that would limit access to voting as well as the opportunity to impact the vote in many states. Florida is one – League has repeatedly expressed concerns with minority representation and inadequate functional analyses on protected districts and areas of population growth across the state. We need your voice by Wednesday, February  9, when the House Election Laws Subcommittee takes up a very important early and absentee voting bill. The bill does something that we have long needed, creating a no-excuse early voting period. However, it also does things that are threats to voter access and reasonable election administration. We hope everyone will provide personal testimony at the hearing or in writing. The League's testimony:
