Our speaker is quite a special person. Anne Galer is a former career US diplomat.  As a Foreign Service Officer she lived and worked in East and Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and represented the United States in several United Nations organizations. She specialized in international economics and finance.

 

Coming to New Mexico, she became interested in adobe preservation, earning an Adobe Construction Certificate from Northern New Mexico College and an Architectural Historical Preservation graduate degree from UNM. She volunteers with Cornerstones and other adobe preservation organizations.

 

Anne has had a lifelong interest in history, politics and the operation of democracy,  thus her belief in directly electing our president with one-person-one-vote. Her presentation will cover why the United States should abolish the Electoral college.
