LWV debate policies
LWV debate guidelines include (but are not limited to) the following:
--In the case of a debate involving only two candidates for an office, both of whom have agreed to participate in advance, if one does not appear at the last minute, the remaining candidate can make a two minute statement, but there will be no opportunity for questions. In the case of a debate involving only two candidates when one declines to participate, that particular debate will be cancelled. No letters or statements by absent candidates will be read. Only the candidates may speak. No props or signs are permitted.
--There will no unauthorized recording of the event allowed. Pre-approved licensed media are the only exception. One full video of the debate will be posted online.
