Join the League of Women Voters of Santa Cruz County to get involved in your community, attend informative programs, and play an active role in our democracy through advocacy and education. Membership in this respected nonpartisan, grassroots organization is open to everyone age 16 or older.

Our Santa Cruz County League volunteers work year-round to register new voters, host community forums and debates, and provide citizens with the information they need to be confident voters. At the state and national levels, the League engages on legislative priorities and efforts to improve our elections and protect our democracy.

DUES

Choose the membership dues level that suits your budget. Dues are paid annually; renewals occur on your Join Date anniversary. 

  • $75 recommended dues level (choosing to pay more will allow others to pay less while maintaining organizational solvency)
  • $20 minimum per person
  • A second member in the same household can be added for an additional $75 (or double the amount you choose to pay).
  • Life Members (those who have maintained a continuous membership in the League for 50 years or more) are exempt from membership dues in appreciation of their dedication to democracy.

Our secure payment platform accepts a variety of payment methods, including direct bank transfers (preferred due to lower fees) or credit/debit cards. 

MEMBERSHIP PORTAL

Once you have joined, you will receive a confirmation email with a unique link to activate your account at our membership portal. Once activated, access your account anytime through the portal to see your payment history, edit your profile, easily access voter information at Vote411, and more.

DONATIONS 

Dues support our Local, State, and National Leagues. When you join or renew online, you may make an additional donation to our local Santa Cruz County League (LWVSCC) by specifying an additional contribution after you choose your dues amount.

Dues to LWVSCC are not tax deductible; if you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to our education fund, or to make a donation without becoming a member, visit our donation page.
