The history of the League of Women Voters of Santa Cruz County includes the following milestones:
- First recognized as a provisional League in April 1965
- Achieved full League status in October 1966
- Incorporated in February 1968.
The list of 
Past Presidents of the local League dates back to 1965. The President presides at meetings and facilitates the activities as determined by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors of the local League plans and directs the work necessary to carry out programs on selected governmental issues as adopted by the members.
