NEED TO REGISTER?
• Pick up a paper voter registration form (postage paid) at post offices, libraries, city halls, etc. or
• Register online at buttevotes.net
 
NEED TO UPDATE YOUR REGISTRATION OR CHECK YOUR ADDRESS?
• If you were displaced by fire, you can maintain your residence address if you are planning to return. Be sure to update your mailing address so you can receive your ballot there.
• You may make any necessary changes or check your registration status by going on buttevotes.net or call Butte County Elections Office at (530) 552-3400 Option 1.
 
VOTING PROCESS:
• Ballots will begin to be mailed October 5, 2020.
• Locations of Official Ballot Drop Boxes and Voter Assistance Centers will be mailed too.
 
YOU HAVE 3 OPTIONS TO RETURN YOUR BALLOT:
• Any Official Ballot Drop Box -- available starting October 5
• Any Voter Assistance Center -- open beginning October 31 through November 3
• Mail at any US Post Office (must be postmarked no later than Nov. 3)
