Did you know that there is a new Chamber of Commerce in town?  The Charles River Regional Chamber covers Wellesley, Newton, Needham and Watertown.  Please join us for our Brown Bag Lunch and Round Table Discussion to learn more about this.

The mission of the Chamber of Commerce is to champion our communities’ economic and cultural vitality through education, advocacy, and networking.  We will learn about the Charles River Regional Chamber and their role in helping Wellesley to thrive.  How does the Chamber support a diverse work force?   Why is affordable housing so important to our business community?  How can the League partner with the Chamber to make Wellesley more inclusive and welcoming?

Bring your own brown bag lunch and join us for this discussion.

What exactly is a Brown Bag Lunch Meeting?

Remember when you were a kid and used to take your lunch to school? Before lunch boxes, Moms would pack them in …small brown bags. Years ago, when the League started “Lunch with…” meetings, it was an easy way to indicate that everyone should supply their own food -so described as a “brown bag lunch.” The host will supply something to drink like coffee, tea or lemonade and maybe dessert but participants should bring their own main course, be it a sandwich or salad bar choice.

We'll see you all at Barbara's home at 12pm on Friday, November 17.
