On January 14th at 4:30pm, join University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability in this unique conversation Climate Action in 2025 and Beyond. It will be structured as a town hall and information session to learn what is happening at the university, local, state and federal levels and how you can get involved. This event will also be live-streamed. If you check off the “watch via livestream” option on the registration form, we will email the livestream link before the event.

The main event will be followed by a networking reception from 6:00-6:30 p.m.

On January 16th at 12pm, Green Amendents for the Generations will be holding the Green Amendments for Clean Energy forum on the Green Amendments Action Platform. So be sure you are signed up to be fully connected with the Green Amendment movement and for your opportunity to be part of this clean energy forum. Learn from the experts how constitutional Green Amendment protections for environmental rights help advance good quality clean energy projects, contrary to the false narratives of industry opposition.

On Januray 16th, 6-7pm, The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is starting another round of input on implementation of the Michigan Healthy Climate Plan. For this session, we are soliciting input on the priorities across the action areas under Drive Clean Innovation in Industry. Register for the online event here.

Each virtual listening session will begin with a brief introduction by EGLE on the MI Healthy Climate Plan goals related to the specific action area and will then open up for public comment.

12-Week Online Bootcamp to Master Sustainability Practices and Launch Your Career

The University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) has partnered with Fresh Coast Climate Solutions to develop a 12-week online bootcamp to help you master sustainability principles and practices. Through hands-on experiences, participants will acquire essential skills and a deep understanding of sustainability principles, all with personalized feedback, preparing them to lead initiatives that align environmental stewardship with business objectives.

On January 27th at 5:30pm, join University of Michigan SEAS for an event that’s more than just a celebration—it’s a call to action. In alignment with the University of Michigan’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Symposium's 2025 theme of "Restless Dissatisfaction: An Urgent Call for the Pursuit of Justice and Equality," we invite students, staff, faculty and the greater community to a powerful and inspiring gathering. This panel will spotlight leaders who are transforming the fields of environmental justice, energy and sustainability. This in-person event is free and open to the public.
