Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m.

Minutes: from the November 12 meetingwere approved as read.

Update on 501c3:

After the November 12 board meeting, Satsie and Janet signed a letter to the IRS containing the resolution passed at the November board meeting, stating our League will send no more money LWVUS and LWVC.  Janet sent the letter to Mr. Harold Fodor of the IRS.  We have not heard yet from him about our 501c3 status.  Making changes for the new dues process is going well; changes will be in effect as of Feb. 1, 2025. Janet discussed the survey to be given to new members, asking for basic information. Janet is working on those questions and asked for suggestions.

Holiday Party: Will be 3 to 6 at the League office.

Dues Update: Marcia sent the final requests a week ago. With two new members, current membership is 140; 53 have still not paid dues. She will make calls; Toni to help. Square On-line is not working well. The Stripe account was set up today.

Committee/Board Member update:

Satsie: Jenny, Communications Director, has conflicts on 2nd Tuesdays but might do communications and publicity (including social media?) just not be on the board. Helen Gesick continues with the website.  Janet will ask Jennie if this is agreeable to her.

Nominating Committee Revisit: Good news from Satsie: Lisa will serve on the committee along with Nicole. • Satsie will notify Chair Debra Barger.

Planning Future Meetings:

We only need one full member meeting. The Retreat: Feb. 1st, 10-3  at the Baptist Church or St. John’s. • Janet will perfect the agenda; • Corky will contact the church. The board discussed the purpose and format for the meeting.  Other possibilities for Claire to speak on candidate forums and recruit volunteers were discussed.
