
Sandra Richason is the new Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Missouri and Metro St. Louis.
“I am truly honored to serve in this role and look forward to working with such an empowered group of talented individuals that defend our democracy,” says Richason.
Sandra has extensive experience in donor development, grant writing, data management, volunteer recruitment and training, project management, public relations and special events. She served as Operations and Development Director at Classic 107.3 for seven years. She created a non-profit, Joe’s Place, to house homeless students in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District. Her non-profit experience includes working for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri and Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis. She earned a BA in Psychology and minor in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Sandra is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (St. Louis Regional Chapter) and the Grant Professionals Association (St. Louis Regional Chapter).
Jean Dugan is retiring after working for the League for seven years, with state membership doubling since she started in March 2018. “Jean greatly improved and increased the influence of the League statewide and in Metro St. Louis,” says LWVMO State President Kay Park. “I will continue to call on her communications skills to advocate for League priorities and address misinformation on ballot issues.”
Chantal Hoffsten was promoted from Bookkeeper to Operations Manager.
The League of Women Voters of Missouri is a nonpartisan, charitable political organization that has been working since October 1919 to educate and empower voters. LWV of Metro St. Louis was founded in November 1919.
