Not sure if you're registered to vote? Visit Check Status of Your Voter Registration.

You'll need to re-register to vote when:

  • You change your residence address or mailing address,
  • You change your name, or
  • You change your political party choice.

VOTE411: Key in your address and zip code and get your entire ballot and polling place. Find information on candidates and ballot measures -- from the League and other nonpartisan sources.

November 3, 2026 - General Election

  • The last day to register to vote for the November 3, 2026 General Election is October 19, 2026.
  • All California active registered voters will receive a Vote By Mail ballot for the General Election.
  • Your county elections office will begin mailing ballots by October 5, 2026.
  • Vote By Mail ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop-off location, or the Santa Barbara County Elections office.
  • Ballot drop-off locations open on October 6, 2026.
  • Vote By Mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by November 10, 2026. (Check our USPS Postmark Page to make sure your postmark count

NOTE: Did you miss the voter registration deadline? You can still register and vote in person at your polling place or the county elections office. They will have you "conditionally" vote a provisional ballot.
