Greetings LWVHW Members and Friends! The September Primary and November Election will be here before we know it! For the next 6 months, Election and Voter Services will be our primary focus. To get things rolling, we are putting together an Election Action Working Group! We have a few thoughts, which we have outlined below, but we really want to hear from you. ALL IDEAS ARE WELCOME!

There are many possible ways to get involved. Here are a few that we are thinking about:  

• “Pajama” Activism: Stuff that you can do on your own time (i.e. in your pajamas!) like using the easy League links and prewritten letters to support Voting Rights legislation or helping to write letters to editors reminding voters of the primary and election logistics.

• Get students and young people psyched to vote:  Work with League team members to help students and others to register to vote/check that their voter registrations are in order. Staff info tables at:

• The HWPride Picnic (Sunday June 14th)

• The Community Block Party (Saturday, June 20th) 

• Local schools (dates TBD)

We will share sign-ups soon.

• Combat mis- and dis-information:  Help organize and run voter information sessions about state ballot questions. We expect there to be a number of them this year.

• Protect and support democracy: Consider volunteering to be a town election or poll worker.

• Inform voters about candidates: Help at the 6th Congressional District Candidates Forum that we are hosting with the North Shore LWV (Date TBD)
