On Monday, August 13, voters of the Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex State Senate District will have an opportunity to meet three candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for state senator: Kris Aleksov of Wayland, Jackie Katz of Norfolk and Becca Rausch of Needham. The event, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Needham and cosponsored by the Leagues of Wellesley and Wayland, will take place at the Needham Public Library, 1139 Highland Avenue.
The event will begin with a Meet & Greet at 7:00 PM followed by a forum for State Representative, Norfolk 13th District (Needham, Dover and Medfield) at 7:30 PM. The Democratic state senatorial forum (Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex district) will begin at 8 PM. The winner of the Democratic senate district primary race will go on to face Richard Ross in the general election on November 6.
The Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District extends from Wayland to Attleborough and includes Wellesley precincts B, F and G. Voters of Wellesley precincts A, C, D, E and H, located in the First Middlesex and Norfolk District, are represented by State Senator Cynthia Creem who is running unopposed.

Don’t forget to vote! The Massachusetts state primary election is Tuesday, September 4, 2018. The deadline to register to vote in the primary is Wednesday, August 15, and to vote in the general election on Tuesday, November 6, voters must be registered by Wednesday, October 18.
