Your support goes directly to the League's work to protect and defend our democracy. Together we ensure our elections are free, fair and accessible; protect our environment; and reduce the influence of money in our elections.
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The annual Making Democracy Work Award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to our community through the advancement of democracy and civic engagement. The award is presented at the League's annual Friend-Raiser.
