Redistricting 2021

As our country prepares to undergo redistricting, the League of Women Voters is working to support a fair and accurate process.

Town-wide and all Precinct Candidates

The Voter Guide presents responses to a questionnaire sent to all Town-Wide Office and all Town Meeting Member candidates, and Ballot Question committees. It also contains information about Precincts, Polling Locations, Town Meeting, and the League of Women Voters of Belmont.

The 2025 Voter Guide is at the printer and will be delivered by March 26th, if not earlier.

League’s national redistricting campaign, PPFM, began its second year last August. In the first year, Hawaii focused on celebrating League’s Centennial and the census (getting out the count).

In Year 2, our emphasis will be support for automatic voter registration (AVR) at the state level and support for U.S. Congressional bills, specifically HR 1 or For the People Act and HR 4 or the Voting Rights Advancement Act (VRAA). Talking points of the two Congressional bills are available.

Running for office

We believe in the power of women to make a more perfect democracy.

And we believe our democracy works when women are in all the halls of power--from the drain commission to the school board to the township supervisor to the county chair and all the way up!

We have created a Women Lead resource page here where we will share videos, government and university informational resources, and other useful tools for equipping women who are interested in running for political office or who want to support other women in their run.
